LITT APPLICATIONS
Use visibility before strain becomes consequence.
Leadership Integrity Threshold Theory can be applied with individual leaders, teams, organizations, boards, and formation environments to identify where wholeness is holding, where pressure is narrowing access, and where conditions may need to change.
Application begins with an assessment or structured inquiry. The results are then interpreted within the actual roles, relationships, capacities, systems, and pressures shaping the person or organization.
FROM RESULT TO RESPONSIBLE USE
A LITT Assessment result is a starting point, not a verdict.
The LITT Assessment creates visibility into how pressure is being carried across ten domains. Application asks what that pattern means in context, which conditions are reinforcing it, and what response is proportionate to the location and depth of strain.
The same result may require a different response depending on the person, role, organization, environment, and decisions involved. LITT is therefore intended to support interpretation, inquiry, and responsible action rather than automatic conclusions.
WHAT LITT CAN SUPPORT
LITT may be used to support:
- leadership development and formation,
- executive coaching and advisory work,
- team sustainability and role design,
- organizational diagnostics,
- board governance and decision safeguards,
- value and practice alignment,
- reassessment after changes or interventions,
- and research into integrity, pressure, and structural continuity.
WHAT LITT SHOULD NOT BE USED TO DO
LITT should not be used as:
- a clinical or mental-health diagnosis,
- a permanent classification of a person,
- proof of moral character or moral failure,
- a stand-alone hiring, promotion, discipline, or termination instrument,
- a prediction of future behavior,
- or a substitute for contextual inquiry and professional judgment.
*Responsible application preserves agency, accounts for context, and matches the response to what is actually visible.
LEVELS OF APPLICATION
The same framework can examine pressure at different levels.
INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
Examine how pressure is being carried across ten areas of life and leadership, and where capacity is holding, narrowing, or producing consequence.
TEAMS
Identify patterns affecting candor, shared responsibility, role clarity, relational trust, capacity, and sustainable performance.
ORGANIZATIONS
Examine whether structures, incentives, pace, practices, and resources support the values and work the organization claims to sustain.
BOARD & GOVERNANCE
Support more informed oversight when leader condition, decision reliability, organizational strain, or shared responsibility requires closer examination.
EDUCATION & FORMATION
Use LITT to help emerging and established leaders examine how values, judgment, identity, relationships, and capacity hold under pressure.
APPLICATION AREAS
What the LITT Assessment can help make visible.
The framework does not prescribe one response for every person or system. It helps locate the conditions, patterns, and consequences that require closer attention.
01
Leadership Development
The LITT Assessment can help leaders see whether the capacities they have developed remain accessible under pressure. It identifies where temporary adaptation is narrowing their range, where roles are becoming divided, and what may need to be strengthened before greater responsibility compounds the cost.
CAN HELP EXAMINE
Capacity · Versatility · Identity continuity · Values under pressure · Formation needs
02
Executive Coaching & Advisory
The Assessment gives leaders and advisors a shared map for examining strain across decisions, relationships, values, health, identity, rest, and organizational patterns. It helps move the conversation beyond general stress and toward the specific areas affecting the whole.
CAN HELP EXAMINE
Decision reliability · Role load · First fracture · Blind spots · Reassessment priorities
03
Team Sustainability & Role Design
The LITT Assessment can help teams examine where performance depends on hidden compensation, unclear responsibility, relational withdrawal, or capacities that are no longer moving freely across the group. The goal is not simply to reduce workload, but to understand how the work is currently being carried.
CAN HELP EXAMINE
Role clarity · Shared capacity · Candor · Relational trust · Hidden extraction
04
Organizational Diagnostics
The LITT Assessment can support inquiry into whether an organization’s systems, practices, incentives, and pace reinforce what it claims to value. It helps distinguish visible performance from the structural conditions required to sustain that performance over time.
CAN HELP EXAMINE
Alignment · Viability · Culture · Pressure distribution · Sustainable performance
05
Board Governance & Oversight
The LITT Assessment can help boards and governing bodies consider whether current leadership and organizational conditions support reliable judgment, responsible continuity, and appropriate accountability. It also expands attention beyond the individual leader to the systems benefiting from or reinforcing the strain.
CAN HELP EXAMINE
Decision safeguards · Governance responsibility · Margin · Accountability · Shared risk
06
Education, Formation & Public Systems
The LITT Assessment can be used to examine how people are formed to carry responsibility, make decisions under constraint, remain connected to those affected, and sustain values across complex systems. Context-specific application requires additional care, testing, and collaboration.
CAN HELP EXAMINE
Formation · Ethical perception · Institutional pressure · Proximity · Responsible adaptation
CHOOSE THE RIGHT ENTRY POINT
Begin with the level of visibility the work requires.
Individuals can complete the LITT Assessment and receive a personalized report across all ten domains. Teams, organizations, boards, educators, and research collaborators can inquire about guided, group, or context-specific applications.
